"We hold our heads high, standing tall but not standing still. Smiling, though faced with obstacles. Independent, yet deriving strength from togetherness. We would walk forever to overcome breast cancer, though the point of our journey is to shorten the road. Our song is filled with the weight of urgency, yet lifted by the lightness of joy. In the garden of our souls, commitment is tended by optimism. Surprise us in the quiet of our thoughts and you would find us thinking about victory, even when no victory is in sight. Because we are always looking ahead, to a place of health and long life--to the time we all dream of when we may cease our walking and begin to dance."

Brief Hiatus and Delayed Thank Yous

I'm sorry for the lack of posting recently. Work has been keeping me incredibly busy. I am long overdue with a thank you for Mom's and my friend (and dental hygenist!), Kerry, and we are also grateful to my friend and former coworker, Regan. I'll post more detailed thank yous in the next few days.

In the meantime, because I am sort of in a panic over how much work I have to do between now and when I leave the country for a business trip in less than two weeks, I'll post this tranquil picture from our hike on Saturday! Maybe it will help me de-stress! I hope you're all doing well.
