"We hold our heads high, standing tall but not standing still. Smiling, though faced with obstacles. Independent, yet deriving strength from togetherness. We would walk forever to overcome breast cancer, though the point of our journey is to shorten the road. Our song is filled with the weight of urgency, yet lifted by the lightness of joy. In the garden of our souls, commitment is tended by optimism. Surprise us in the quiet of our thoughts and you would find us thinking about victory, even when no victory is in sight. Because we are always looking ahead, to a place of health and long life--to the time we all dream of when we may cease our walking and begin to dance."

Get Ready to Cheer!

Many of you have asked me for details about the 3-Day route. Unfortunately, I don't have any yet! Late last week, Susan G. Komen was going to provide us a list of "cheering stations" that will be set up along the way, but I found out today that the information won't actually be available until later this week or this weekend. You can be sure I'll send an email around with that information as soon as I have it, and I'll also post a message here.

So, for now, just practice your cheering! As soon as I have the locations for the cheering stations, I'll pass them along. If any of you are free to come out and cheer the walkers on, Mom and I would love to see you! Thanks in advance!
